I suggest you forget credit cards. If youre making it now without one, even if its reeeaaaallllyyyy tight, you are much better off. Credit can quickly turn into a crutch for most all people who use it. It can be a lifesaver in an emergency but when you get a taste of how easy it is to buy something without really having the money for it, everything quickly becomes an "emergency" just so you can whip out that plastic. Go to NetFlix and watch "Maxed Out" and you will learn alot about credit and the dependency we all inevitably find ourselves overwhelmed with.
